About us

I am a qualified Naturopathic Nutritional Therapist.  I undertook my clinical training at one of the most well respected nutritional institutes in the United Kingdom, The College of Naturopathic Medicine (CNM).  I also have a Masters Degree in Business Administration from the University of Birmingham.  I am registered with BANT (British Association for Applied Nutrition and Nutritional Therapy) and CNHC (Complementary & Natural Healthcare Council), which require me to abide by their strict code of ethics.

My decision to study Nutrition came about when my world was turned upside down after my husband was diagnosed with 3 unrelated cancers.  This resulted in three major surgeries and a series of grueling chemotherapy and radiotherapy sessions.  All this took a terrible toll on his body physically, mentally and emotionally.  He was so ill! I knew I had to do something!  I felt the medical team was doing their part but I still didn’t feel they had all the answers.  No one was able to explain why my husband had 3 different cancers all at the same time.   I needed to utilise everything I could in order to give my husband a fighting chance.

I was constantly on the Internet looking for ways to help my husband.  It was there that I came across the College of Naturopathic Medicine and decided to enroll.

Their three-year nutritional therapy programme was a God send!  I felt this would provide some of the answers I was desperate for and put me in a stronger position to support my entire family.  The clinical training was invaluable! I began to realise that so much of ill health is linked to poor diet and lifestyle choices, which can put our bodies in a state of imbalance.  What we eat affects our appearance, our energy and comfort, and — above all — our health.

It is said health is not valued until sickness comes. From personal experience I believe taking a proactive approach to health care and maintaining wellness is a far better approach than suppressing symptoms and managing ill health.   With this in mind, my aim is to educate, empower and motivate clients to assume personal responsibility for their health by adopting a healthy diet, lifestyle and attitude. I am also a committed Christian who hopes to encourage healing through nutrition.

Naturopathic Nutrition provides the perfect opportunity for engaging with clients and working with them to achieve wellness.   First and foremost its approach is about prevention because it embraces a wellness-oriented diet, lifestyle change and supplements that support the body.   It uses a large toolkit of evidence-based, effective and safe natural therapies to restore health.

The relationship between each client and me is a partnership.  As a result, a significant amount of time is spent listening closely to gain a full understanding of all aspects of the client’s health problems.   An initial consultation will take between 1 to 1.5 hour in which the client’s medical history and general lifestyle will be reviewed in order to determine a support programme suited to the individuals’ needs. Other procedures such as clinical and functional testing may be required in order to establish a health-promoting programme for the client.

After a thorough initial assessment and collection of test results, I educate my clients on the best nutrition to help their condition and to help them achieve and maintain a healthy lifestyle, minimise the risk of disease and experience true vitality.  I recommend nutritional supplementation if required, to correct health issues.
